Defined as "advance beyond proper limits." How dare we let nature do that to us! ;)

More playing around with HDR. I'm using some old photos I got while waiting for the train at Secaucus Junction. I thought the juxtaposition of the marshland and heavy industry would make a great photo, but no matter what I did, I couldn't get the elements to show up. Well, it turns out, I had enough exposures to use effectively for HDR to make it as pretty as I wanted it! Yay!

Comments and suggestions are very much appreciated. =D

Eh... close enough. It's Secaucus, New Jersey, the armpit of America.

Thank you! I really enjoy HDR and it's fun putting the images together. I think some things are just made for HDR.

its really majestic - It must have been a ''moment'' - you know there are some moments in life - this must have been one of them - a split second of silence and here the moment is - a scene... hard to explain

I see this every time I head into the city. It's a story I wanted to capture because the scene tells it so well. It was only when I learned about HDR that I was finally able to bring it to the world.

Hrm... not sure I like that almost. Any suggestions on how to move it up to intense?

I said almost in a good way...it's also a very pretty image despite the intensity, so I compromised : )

Wow... I like this one a lot... and I even though I haven't seen the original image so I can't technically say you did a better job on this one than on "Icy Dawn." Lovely choice of content. You did a great job getting so many colors out of this, the vibrancy and the contrast... well currently it's leaving me speechless.

Hrm... perhaps I'll upload the original photos later... It's kind of a cool process to make the final photo. I'm really glad you enjoy it. =D

I read a wee bit about it when you posted "Icy Dawn" and it seems like it takes a certain deal of skill and practice. But then again it seems you are already quite good at it.

It's really easy if you have the software and a tripod (or any sturdy surface.) You have Photoshop CS3 now, so you can join me in the fun! File->automate->combine to HDR

There are also lots of tutorials posted on DevART how to do them. That's really where I learned all I know about it.

Pshh. It's not that easy. But when I find a suitable scene to photograph, and maybe allow myself to splurge on a tripod, I think this might be something worth attempting.
